Saturday September 29

Yesterday at our artists' open house, we were busy the whole time with just enough time for Shelley and I to gulp down our lunches. Mostly we just sold small items. However, today is another day!

You may check out our work at www.lakesuperior2020.com.

THese are some of my last minute additions to our art show.

Thursday before our Tour!

Today I will be super busy grouting my last SEVEN small projects and baking up cookies, breads and bars for the Lake Superior 20/20 Studio Art Tour.

You may check out the website here

These are the last few pieces for me to grout. I have grouted THREE times this week. MUCH much more than the amount that I usually grout in a week! (Grouting is just NOT my thing.)

Monday with only 4 days until our 20/20 Artists' Studio Tour begins!

I went over to Shelley's on Saturday to begin to set up for the 20/20 Artists' Studio Tour. She lives on Tomberg Road just outside of Two Harbors. Here is a photo of my Vases in the window with the light shining through them.

Tueday

Yesterday I was able to grout this Fall Leaves Vase. I spend over an hour on this, picking out the grout from the textured glass. I like how this one turned out.

Friday and I am on my way to Grand Marais to pick up my large Mirror.

Today I will be journeying to Grand Marais to pick up my Large Mirror from Stephan Hoglund's gallery. I am anxious to see this Mirror again.

Here is the Vase with Fall Leaves that I was working on Monday while Eli was getting his leg amputated. I think this is an optimistic whimsical look at Fall. The other Vase (with the smaller "waist"), as well as the Vase with the Sun are what I was worked on yesterday.

Tuesday and a large mirror sold on Etsy

My very LARGE Mirror with Vines has sold on Etsy. I love this mirror but I am so glad that it now has a permanent home.

Monday September 9 - a sad day for us

This morning I need to bring in our cat Eli to the vet. He was missing for sixteen days and when he arrived back home, he was unable to put any weight on his left front paw. We brought him to the vet, who discovered after x-raying Eli, that he had been shot. The bullet went in through his shoulder and is now lodged in his back. Today both his leg and the bullet will be removed.
